InSite Health needed to transition away from overseas contractors to US-based full-time employees while maintaining product momentum and addressing critical infrastructure needs.

Contributions

  • Architecture Review: Conducted deep review of existing infrastructure and product, delivering a comprehensive assessment report with recommendations
  • Roadmap Analysis: Analyzed product roadmap including size estimations and prioritization to guide hiring and development decisions
  • Hiring Process Design: Designed and deployed new hire interviews and onboarding procedures, then conducted technical interviews and assessments
  • EMR Migration: Wrote screen-scraping export tools to migrate data between EMR systems
  • AWS Infrastructure: Designed, built, and deployed initial AWS infrastructure using CDK, migrating from previous cloud vendor
  • Security Improvements: Addressed security tasks including forced TLS/HTTPS, session timeout enforcement, and branch protection rules

Results

Successfully transitioned the engineering organization while delivering architecture review, roadmap analysis, hiring infrastructure, EMR migration tooling, and new AWS infrastructure—all within a 2-month engagement.
